TOWN OF FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Some good Samaritans come to the aid of a truck driver seriously injured in an early-morning semi crash in Fond du Lac County.
The crash occurred near Highway 151 and the northbound ramp onto S. Main Street at 1:41 a.m. Wednesday in the town of Fond du Lac.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says the semi driver failed to slow down in time while exiting on to S. Main Street, which semt the truck into ditch and sent large bales of paper into the cab, trapping the driver.
Sheriff’s deputies arrived to find two people moving paper bales to free the driver. Deputies also assisted, and eventually, the driver was freed and taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The crash is currently under investigation.
