La CROSSE, Wis. — A preliminary autopsy report does not indicate any signs of criminal activity in the death of a Hortonville native in Minnesota.
That conclusion in the death of Eliotte Heinz was released Friday by La Crosse police.
The 22-year-old Heinz went missing Sunday. Her body was recovered Wednesday from the Mississippi River — about 13 miles from La Crosse.
The investigation remains open, and final autopsy results are not expected for several months.
