So, how’s your week going-Hurricane edition!
A question was asked of me recently, and I hesitated for just one second. The question was: “If you retired tomorrow, in which direction would you head…southeast or southwest?” That said, the answer is getting a bit more complicated.
Many that head east-southeast point towards the Carolinas or Florida. We’re not big beach people, but the weather is attractive and I know there’s a golf course on just about every street corner! Drawbacks are numerous: hurricanes have taken their toll, insurance rates are outrageous and so are most home prices.
Go west young man! Well, maybe…but, not necessarily. Winters are palatable, dry and very little severe weather pops up. But, the summers are suffocating, water is becoming scarce and so are reasonably-priced properties. We are much more inclined to enjoy the mountains, trees and beauty, but so have millions of others, so….finding the shiny pin in a crowded haystack is a big challenge.
My backyard is starting to look a lot better. And a tad bit more affordable, too.
And, I already have a Colorado blue spruce in it….
