TOWN OF BURNETT, Wis. — A two-vehicle crash in Dodge County Friday morning leaves one person dead.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says the crash took place at the intersection of County Highway I and County Highway E in the town of Burnett around 11:26 a.m.
An initial investigation finds that an SUV driving north on Highway I entered the intersection and was struck by dump truck driving west on Highway E. A 64-year-old Janesville woman driving the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The dump truck driver, a 66-year-old man from Randolph, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators have not been able to determine whether the SUV stopped at the stop sign on Highway I.
The investigation into the crash continues.
