TOWN OF OAKFIELD, Wis. — A gunshot wound results in the death of a 24-year-old Lomira man.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call Saturday evening from a location near Stumpf Road and Wild Goose Road in the town of Oakfield.
The caller found the man dead from a gunshot near a tree stand and said the victim had been hunting there earlier in the day.
Investigators believe the gunshot wound is from an accidental discharge from a gun and there is no danger to the public.
The incident remains under investigation.
