MONROE, Wis. — Two men killed in a Green County plane crash Monday evening are identified as residents of Oshkosh and Omro.
The Green County Sheriff’s Office did not release the victims names but says one is a 43-year-old Oshkosh man and the other a 41-year-old man from Omro.
The sheriff’s office says preliminary findings show the Socata TBM-700 was inbound to land at Monroe Municipal Airport. It crashed around 5:15 p.m. into a quarry on the north side of Highway 59 adjacent to the airport.
Teams from the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are on the scene conducting an investigation.
