TOWN OF NEKIMI, Wis. — A two-vehicle crash in the town of Nekimi Monday afternoon results in the death of one of the drivers.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office says a passenger van and a pickup truck hauling a trailer collided near the intersection of Highway 26 and Cottonwood Avenue just after 1 p.m.
The driver of the passenger van is identified as a 79-year-old Oshkosh man who died at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck is a 19-year-old man from Oshkosh. He was not injured.
The crash closed a portion of the roadway for several hours.
No other details are being released at this time.
