WASHINGTON — The National Transportation Safety Board believes the weather was a factor in a plane crash that killed two Oshkosh men.
Brett Gelbach and Eric Felix died when the plane they were in crashed short of the runway at the Monroe Municipal Airport on Nov. 24.
There was dense fog in the area at the time.
Both men were pilots and were rated for instrument flying, but the NTSB has not released who was at the controls at the time.
The plane struck mining equipment about a half-mile short of the runway.
A final report on the crash will be released some time next year.
