APPLETON, Wis. — The city of Appleton confirms it has extended its contract with the Hilton Appleton Paper Valley Hotel to operate the Fox Cities Exhibition Center. The contract for the expo expired at the end of last year after the Hilton notified the city that it wanted to renegotiate the deal.
The extension continues the terms of the previous contract until May 1.
The city has offered the hotel a number of incentives in a proposed new deal, including $800,000 of improvements to the building and allowing the Hilton first right to all catering in the facility.
