WAUPACA COUNTY, Wis. — The driver arrested in a Waupaca County drunk driving stop allegedly registers a shocking level of intoxication.
The 41-year-old man was stopped by sheriff’s deputies along U.S. Highway 10 near Waupaca on Monday for erratic driving.
A preliminary breath test registered a blood alcohol level of .427.
Because the driver had a previous OWI conviction, his legal limit for driving was just .02, meaning he was more than 21 times that limit.
Criminal charges are pending.
