APPLETON, Wis. — An Appleton man accused of damaging an ice sculpture is cited.
The 21-year-old is ordered to pay nearly $400 for violating the city’s damage to property ordinance. His name has not been released.
The man picked up the platform holding the Center for Suicide Awareness’ Avenue of Ice sculpture and threw it to the ground, causing the sculpture to crack and break apart last Sunday. He turned himself in to police the next day.
The Center for Suicide Awareness says the man apologized to them for his actions.
