APPLETON, Wis. — Fox Cities business owners are generally optimistic about 2026. The Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce annual Economic Outlook Survey finds 55 percent of respondents expect gross sales and revenues to increase this year. Forty-nine percent expect profits to increase as well, with 40 percent expecting net income to remain flat.
The biggest challenges for local employers are finding enough talent to fill open positions and the cost of doing business.
