OUTAGAMIE, Co. Wis. — Due to rising water levels, the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office has issued a No Wake order for all waterways in Outagamie County, effective immediately.
According to Outagamie Ordinance Sec. 34-25: “During a declared flood emergency no person shall operate a boat faster than slow-no-wake in the waters of Outagamie County whenever traveling within 500 feet of any permanent building, structure, bridge, or pier. This does not include a floating raft.”
The Sheriff’s Office utilizes the National Weather Service Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service’s Shiocton Location to monitor waterway levels.
The No Wake order will be lifted once levels are no longer in or above the “Action” stage.
