MENASHA, Wis–The city of Menasha is moving forwards with a new aquatic center at Jefferson Park. The Common Council approves concept plans for a water park that will feature a lap pool, water slides, a lazy river and a four-seasons community building, which Parks Director Megan Sackett says is needed………….
The city is committing eight million dollars toward the aquatic center–with the rest of the project cost coming from private donations. Council President Ted Grade says it’s a worthwhile investment…………..
The Menasha Public Works Committee rejected an effort to put the eight-million dollar city commitment to a referendum vote this fall. Construction on the new aquatic center will start in 2027, with completion in time for the summer of 2028.
