WAUTOMA, Wis. — A former Plainfield fire chief accused of stealing from the department says he is not guilty.
Jeffrey Kessenich enters the plea in Waushara County Court to two counts of theft in a business setting. Kessenich allegedly used fire department funds to pay for more than $112,000 in personal expenses from 2023 to last September.
No trial date is set.
