FOX CROSSING, Wis. — A Fox Crossing police officer who killed a dog last month will not face criminal charges.
An internal investigation found that Officer Dominick Texiera was justified in shooting a rottweiler that was attacking another dog and its owner in Fritsch Park on March 7.
The suspect dog died on the way to an animal hospital. Police say it had a history of aggressive behavior and the owner was fined three times for violations associated with the animal last summer.
