(OMRO, WI) — A write-in candidate wins the race for mayor of Omro.
Mary Berndt–whose name did not appear on Tuesday’s ballot–defeated Trevor Chalfant–the only candidate on the ballot–401-votes to 384.
Berndt mounted a formal write-in candidacy after the deadline to turn in nomination petitions in January.
She is a former member of the Omro School Board.
