APPLETON, Wis–Woodward Community Media General Manager BJ DeGroot has issued the following statement on the departure of KISS-FM morning show host Otis Day:
Day, whose real name is Richard Dey, is the subject of a temporary restraining order requested by WIXX morning show co-host Natalie Jansen in Brown County Court.
According to court filings, Dey and Emily Chagnon of Marion corresponded on social media, exchanging information on Jansen and using fake social media accounts to post denigrating comments about her.
Brown County Sheriff’s investigators initially recommended felony stalking charges against Dey and Chagnon, but the District Attorney’s office chose not to file those charges.
A May 22nd hearing is scheduled to make the restraining orders against Dey and Chagnon permanent.
