NEW LONDON, Wis–New London issues an evacuation order for most of the city and parts of the town of Mukwa.
The evacuation zone includes all but the far eastern edge of the city itself and parts of Mukwa west of U-S Highway 45. The Wolf River is rising faster than anticipated today (Wednesday).
An emergency shelter is located at the Washington Center Gym. Those who choose to stay in their homes are warned emergency services may not be able to reach them.
