OSHKOSH, Wis–A new member of the Oshkosh Common Council issues an apology for showing his support for a controversial social media post by a Wisconsin bar owner. Alec Lefeber “liked” the post by Minocqua Brewing Company owner Kirk Bangstad on Sunday, where Bangstad referred to the shooting incident at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner as getting “close to free beer day” and stating that a “brother or sister in the resistance needs to work on their marksmanship”.

Lefeber’s reaction to the post came from his Common Council Facebook account. In his apology on the same page, Lefeber states:
Lefeber was elected to the Oshkosh Common Council earlier this month.
