APPLETON, Wis. — The city of Appleton is looking to improve safety along three more high-traffic corridors.
The city is applying for Safe Streets For All grants to study traffic and pedestrian patterns along County Highway A, State Highway 47 and County Highway JJ.
Public works director Laura Jungwirth says the city will work with neighboring communities on future plans to improve safety in those areas…………
Alder Katie Van Zeeland says Midway Road is not safe for bikers or walkers………
The corridor studies would provide planners with ideas on how to better separate vehicles from bicyclists and pedestrians with improved roadway designs.
