GREEN BAY, Wis. — A 29-year-old Green Bay man is arrested in connection with a stabbing on the city’s east side.
Around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, police were called to a residence in the 900 block of N. Clay Street.
Upon arrival, they found a 39-year-old woman who had been stabbed inside the home. Officers provided first aid before she was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
During the investigation, police learned the suspect had fled on a mountain bike. That began a four-hour search that ended when the suspect was taken into custody in the area of Main and Abrams streets around 2:30 p.m.
The Green Bay Area Public School District placed some schools in the immediate area on a temporary “secure the building” status as a precaution.
