MENASHA, Wis. — Emergency crews are responding to damage and hazards after severe weather moved through the City of Menasha on Monday afternoon.
The Menasha Police Department, along with the Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue Department, Department of Public Works, and other public safety partners, are actively responding to areas impacted by severe weather that moved through the City of Menasha Monday afternoon.
Emergency responders are currently assessing damage, addressing hazards, and responding to calls for service. The department shares that their first priority is the safety of our residents, visitors, and responding personnel.
Residents are asked to:
- Stay away from affected areas unless absolutely necessary.
- Avoid downed power lines and treat all utility lines as energized.
- Do not drive around barricades or enter areas closed by emergency personnel.
- Limit non-emergency travel to allow first responders and utility crews access to impacted areas.
- Call 911 for emergencies.
