Shawano County Sheriff’s officials are investigating a head-on crash that killed an 82-year-old Schofield area woman yesterday. .
Deputies say she was a passenger in a car going west on Highway Q in the town of Wittenberg. A 48-year-old Wittenberg man crossed the center line and hit the car she was in. His condition isn’t known. The other driver was an 83-year-old Weston area woman. She’s in stable condition. Deputies say alcohol isn’t a factor. The crash happened around 6 p.m.
