Winnebago County continues to lead the region in new cases of COVID-19.
The state Department of Health Services is confirming another 26 cases Wednesday. That’s the second-most in the state behind only Milwaukee County.
An eighth person has died in Winnebago County from coronavirus-related causes.
Calumet County registered its second death, along with one additional case.
Brown County has seven more cases. Fond du Lac County saw another six. Outagamie County’s case numbers increased by five, and Waupaca County added another three.
Statewide, 2.7 percent of all tests came back positive, and that’s on par with the numbers so far this week.
Hospitalizations increased to 328.
Sixty-eight percent of confirmed cases have recovered.
