The head of the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce is worried about a proposal the Winnebago County Board will take up tomorrow night.
President John Casper says it would give the county’s health director the authority to set up “safer at home” rules, similar to what the state Supreme Court ended in May. He believes it would give one person too much power, and he’s concerned the wording may be broad.
Casper thinks it would hang over the head of business owners.
The board was initially expected to vote on the proposal tomorrow night, but members will only talk about it instead.
Casper was a guest on AM Fox Valley.
