All 53 people from the Oakridge Gardens long-term care facility in Fox Crossing are now staying at several Fox Valley nursing homes, after yesterday’s fire.
St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna took in 28.
President Sondra Norder says because of coronavirus concerns, they’re trying to keep them in the same area. She says they’re going to test everyone at St. Paul today, including staff, to establish a new baseline. She says Oakridge Gardens recently tested all of their residents and workers, and all tests came back negative.
The other residents are now at Brewster Village and Peabody Manor in the Appleton area.
Norder says about 75 unscheduled workers came in last night to help everyone get situated.
