A recent alert from the state Department of Health Services is warning about opioids, after two recent overdoses in Outagamie County.
Director of Opioid Initiatives Paul Krupski says they provide information to county health departments, to help them watch for trends. If they see something out of the ordinary, they can work together with hospitals, and other agencies.
Krupski says a spike in heroin or fentanyl overdoses might be a sign that there’s a very dangerous batch of the drug in the area.
