A sculpture honoring Harry Houdini is back on display in Appleton.
Workers installed “Metamorphosis” along Lawe Street, in the flats, by a future trestle bridge. It was removed from Houdini Plaza about 10 years ago, before a renovation project.
Deputy Parks and Recreation Director Tom Flick says the city stored it at a facility and they had to refurbish it. He says they sent it to a company to repaint it and fix some of the metal pieces.
Houdini fan and Boldt Company CEO Tom Boldt donated the use of a crane to help put the sculpture in place.
