Grand Chute police are investigating one of their officers for racist and homophobic social media posts from when he was in high school.
Chief Greg Peterson says it would be an understatement to say he was shocked when an anonymous person sent them to the department.
The department is reviewing Officer Bryce La Luzerne, and he told investigators he was quoting song lyrics in the Twitter posts.
They reviewed body camera and in-car video, and determined there’s no evidence of bias or prejudice.
La Luzerne has been a Grand Chute officer for 2-1/2 years. Investigators report the percentage of Black people he’s arrested mirrors other officers.
