The city attorney for Shawano will be a new judge for Shawano and Menominee counties.
Governor Evers is appointing Katie Sloma. She’ll take over for retired Judge James Habeck.
Sloma was elected city attorney two years ago. She was in private practice before that, including handling family law cases.
