The new leader of St. Mary Catholic Schools in the Fox Cities is getting back into education.
Superintendent Tim Schigur spent 22 years as a teacher or administrator. For the past year, he chose to work for a construction company and focus on school projects.
Schigur says it was a great recess for him, and he wanted to get back into schools and serve students, staff and a community again. But he says he was looking for the right fit, and he didn’t want to just jump at the next opportunity.
Schigur was a superintendent for Milton’s school district for six years, and a middle school principal before that.
Right now, he says he’s focusing on plans for schools in the fall, and talking with staff members.
