The state is signing onto a lawsuit over a federal rule that could impact international students at universities.
Attorney General Josh Kaul says the Trump administration is threatening colleges to hold in-person classes, even if it’s not safe.
The new rule would ban international students from staying in the U.S., if all of their classes are online.
UW System President Tommy Thompson says he fully supports the state joining the lawsuit. He also thinks the hybrid system the UW System will use would comply with the rule.
