A fund that helps fight poverty will provide an extra $5 million in grants, because of the pandemic.
Greg Vandenberg of the U.S. Venture Open says $425,000 of it is going to the special COVID-19 response funds run by community foundations in the region. Groups will be able to apply for the rest from the Basic Needs Giving Partnership.
The U.S. Venture Open works with the J.J. Keller Foundation, Oshkosh Corporation, ThedaCare, and Thrivent Foundation on the partnership.
Another $6.7 million in regular spring grants are also going to projects and programs in Fox Cities, Oshkosh, and Green Bay areas.
