The head of the state Department of Health Services says gatherings, and young people, continue to drive the increase in COVID-19 cases.
Secretary Andrea Palm says over the past month, about one-third of their new cases have been people in their 20s.
She says the other pattern they’re seeing is more people testing positive after going to parties, bars, or barbeques.
Palm is recommending people stay at home as much as possible, practice social distancing, and wear a mask in public.
