An elderly Brown County couple is the victim of a contractor scam. The Sheriff’s Office says two men used threatening tactics to convince the homeowners to hire them to reseal their driveway on July 27th. The suspects initially demanded more than 10-thousand dollars for the work–but settled for three thousand. They did a portion of the project that day–and claimed they would come back two days later–but never returned. The men are described as Hispanic. They are driving a white, Chevy pickup truck with Texas license plates.
