School districts that are bringing students back to class next month will likely have to deal with some positive COVID-19 cases.
Winnebago County Health Director Doug Gieryn says as long as social distancing is maintained in schools, the impact can be limited. He says they’d work to identify any close contacts, and decide if anyone needs to self-quarantine.
Gieryn says they wouldn’t have to shut down an entire school after a single case.
The Oshkosh school district will take student absences into account in any decision to switch to all virtual learning.
