COVID-19 may end up saving the City of Oshkosh money this year.
Mid-year budget projections show spending levels are $1.3 million less than expected.
City Manager Mark Rohloff says that’s mainly because they’re seeing a drop in overtime, especially in the police department and public works.
City revenues through the end of June are projected to decline by $500,000, largely because police are handing out fewer traffic tickets and parking fines.
