Four law enforcement groups are asking Governor Evers and Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes to stop making statements and issuing press releases about the police shooting in Kenosha, until the facts of the investigation are known.
The Badger State Sheriff’s Association, Sheriff’s and Deputy Sheriff’s Association, Chiefs of Police Association, and the Police Executive Group sent them a letter.
They believe statements Evers and Barnes have made are premature, judgmental, and inflammatory. They think they only add to the anger and divisiveness, and they’re putting lives at risk.
