The Appleton school district is getting about 3,200 laptops, and 1,900 tablets for students at the start of the school year.
Superintendent Judy Baseman says the tablets are for 4-K and kindergarten. Some of the laptops are still being delivered, but Baseman says students should have them by the middle of next week.
Baseman reports that while it’s a bit of a delay, they made sure every family had at least one device before school got underway. She says they’ve also been getting mobile hotspots to homes without Internet.
The district started the school year with all online classes because of local coronavirus case numbers.
