The free regional COVID-19 testing site in Oshkosh is so busy there have been wait times of around three hours.
More than 150 cars have also been in the parking lot at Sunnyview Expo Center, at different points this week.
Shelley Brown-Giebel is with the Winnebago County Public Health Department, and she says they’ve had a steady stream of cars, and there have been pretty large lines every day.
The testing site opened earlier this month, but with the Labor Day holiday, this is the second full week that it will be open. Brown-Giebel says that’s why they haven’t been able to pinpoint specific times of the day when the wait is shorter.
Members of the Wisconsin National Guard are there, collecting samples to test.
