The DOT is looking at different options for the Highway 441 interchange with I-41 on Appleton’s northeast side.
The work would be part of a larger I-41 project between Grand Chute and De Pere.
Project Manager Scott Ebel says they might expand the interchange to include flyover ramps. He says it could be similar to the Highway 10-441 interchange with I-41 in Fox Crossing, or the I-41 interchanges with I-43 and Highway 29 in the Green Bay area.
Ebel says they could also rebuild the interchange in its current configuration. That includes the large curve on the ramp from Highway 441 to I-41 South.
