Despite a jump in COVID-19 patients, Wisconsin hospitals are continuing to provide other services.
Dr. Mark Kaufman with the Wisconsin Hospital Association says people shouldn’t try to delay scheduled surgeries and other procedures right now. He says many are activating their contingency plans, and if hospitals have room, it’s definitely safe to have surgery.
During the first wave of coronavirus in the spring, many Wisconsin hospitals did cancel surgeries and other procedures to keep beds open for COVID-19 patients.
