Charges filed in alleged Omro murders

An Omro man is accused of killing his wife and friend–then trying to set their bodies on fire. Andrew Clark is charged in Winnebago County Court with two counts of First Degree Intentional Homicide and one count of Attempted Mutilation of a Corpse. Sheriff John Matz says Clark had been out with his wife–Melissa Matz–Lavar Wallace of Appleton, and Michael Draine Sunday night.  The couple got into an argument about money–and Clark allegedly shot Matz and Wallace at a home along Elo Road.  Clark and Draine then allegedly put gas soaked rags on the bodies and lit candles to burn down and start a fire. Draine has also been charged with Attempted Mutilation.
