The Appleton School Board plans to fill a vacancy in its ranks on January 4th. The district is currently accepting applications for the seat vacated by the resignation last week of Leah Olson. Board President Kay Eggert says all applicants will get an interview with the board. Olson resigned on November 30th–citing a desire to spend more time with her family. She was one of three board members targeted for recall by parents who want their kids back in class.
