An early morning fire on Appleton’s east side caused $125,000 in damage to a home.
Crews were called to the 300 block of South Midpark Drive, off east College Avenue, around 1:30 a.m. They found flames coming from the basement.
The initial call said someone was trapped inside but everyone got out safely before the fire department arrived on scene.
No working smoke alarms were found in the home. The Red Cross is helping the family.
