The search is on for the pilot of a F-16 fighter jet that crashed in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula around 8 p.m.
The plane was assigned to the Wisconsin Air National Guard’s 115th Fighter Wing at Truax Air Field in Madison.
The plane went down in Hiawatha National Forest about 250 miles northeast of the base. The crash site is in Delta County, which is located on the shores of Lake Michigan. The pilot was on a routine night training mission.
