We’re continuing our LIFE in Motion series with a focus on Graduation Rates. We’re looking at two data points, the first looking at data from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction on high school graduation. We get a further breakdown of graduation rates for students in the Fox Cities region by race and ethnicity. You can find those data points here — 5.11 Graduation Rate (1 of 2) and 5.12 Graduation Rate (2 of 2).
We’re joined by Kayla McNamara, the Senior Director of Targeted Support Services (like STAR, TRAC and Home Base) with the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley and Ben Vogel who is an Assistant Superintendent with the Appleton Area School District, to speak to the STAR program and the impact it’s had on graduation rates in area.
The Fox Cities LIFE (Leading Indicators for Excellence) Study is funded by United Way Fox Cities, Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region.
Blood donors needed as winter weather issues across the country are impacting the blood supply. Juliana Jarchow, Public Relations & Community Engagement Specialist with the Community Blood Center joins us with how you can help. Visit commuityblood.org to make your appointment.
