A new distribution center on the north side of Little Chute is up and running.
Nestle built the facility north of I-41 for its Dreyer’s ice cream brand. The 300,000 square-foot center cost $46 million.
The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation announced the company will get $830,000 in tax credits. The village provided some incentives too.
Village Administrator James Fenlon says the economic impact to the community will be $7 million to $11 million a year.
Fenlon says about 50 people are working at the distribution center now, and Nestle could add around 50 more.
Nestle also has a pizza plant in Little Chute.
