Two people from the Appleton area, killed in a crash in Brown County last Friday, were heading to a family wedding in Door County.
Fifty-six-year-old Lynn Eckes was the mother of the groom, and 84-year-old Ila Schabow was a grandmother of the groom. They died at the scene, when a wrong-way driver hit the car they were riding in, on Highway 57 near Dyckesville.
The father of the groom and a sister of the groom were taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The father has been in intensive care.
Deputies say 38-year-old Todd Beyer of Green Bay was the wrong-way driver, and he was also killed.
The wedding went on as scheduled.
